Soli at the edge

Soli on Cloudflare Workers

This page was rendered by a Soli app running inside a Cloudflare Worker. No server, no container: the Soli interpreter is compiled to WebAssembly and boots next to your visitors, in Cloudflare's datacenter CMH.

The same app

Routes, controllers, views, layouts and models are the ones soli serve runs. soli edge build bundles the source into the Worker; the interpreter loads it once per isolate and answers every request through the same request pipeline.

Small enough

The whole interpreter is about 9 MB of WebAssembly, 3 MB compressed. An isolate boots the app in a few tens of milliseconds; after that a page takes a few.

Database included

Model queries reach SoliDB over HTTPS. Soli's interpreter is synchronous and a Worker's fetch is not: the wasm stack suspends on each query (JavaScript Promise Integration) and resumes when the answer arrives.
